Do You Realize is a song I do know - but it's not on this album. They did a concert during the pandemic in bubbles and the audience was in bubbles too. The more I read about these guys the more I like them. They lead vocals on Race for the Prize sounds like Neil Young. I'm not sure if its intentional or my poor equipment.ДЄnyway, I have heard of the Flaming Lips, but am not very familiar. There's a distorted sound to the drums on the first track.

Matt and I unintentionally saw the Lips a couple years after Soft Bulletin came out at the Seattle Pier with De La Soul, Kinky, and CAKE. Still raw like their early stuff, but dropped the guitars and picked up electro beats, glossy detuned disney synth strings. They tapped into something new with this album. They make me proud to be American in the age of American decline.
